Day 273 - Missing Shirley

Missing my friend Shirley who lost her fight this afternoon in California. Now she will be able to decorate her cookies without any pain, The angels will be the lucky recipients.

This photo was taken in June at the National Cookie Cutter Collector's Club Convention in California. This is my friend, Shirley with one of her cookie jars that she won in the convention raffle. We shared a lot of laughs.

Day 229 - "Blue Jeans" Cookie Cutter

In the goody bag at the CCCC convention was this cute cutter, designed by our own local group, the Rocky Mountain Cut-Ups. The jeans cutter was packaged with a card telling the history of Levi jeans in an old pocket. It illustrated a part of California history because Levi's were invented there.

At gatherings of cookie cutter collectors we like to have a scramble where people put their "extra" cutters out to sell or trade. This is a cute cookie cutter that I found at the scramble on Thursday evening at the Cookie Cutter Collector's Club convention.

Day 23 - Cookie

1/23/2010 My friend Shirley decorates wonderful cookies. She made this cute cookie using a cutter designed by my friend Kathy and made by our tinsmith friend, Elenna. The inscription is for our convention coming up in June in California.

I am a member of the national Cookie Cutter Collector's Club and the local Rocky Mountain CutUps. We love cookie cutters and many of our members also are very talented cookie decorators. Shirley was one of the demonstrators at our 2006 convention in Pittsburg, Kansas.
